Scarborough students demand more veggies during 'plant-in' protest:Action Against Hunger Canada inspires grade school children

Grade five students from Burrows Hall Junior Public school hold a protest at the Scarborough Civic Centre Friday, May 25 for their right to nutritious food. The children are raising the alarm over the lack of a national school food policy. According to a UNICEF report, Canada ranks 37th out of 41 wealthy countries for access to nutritious food for children.

Children from Scarborough’s Burrows Hall neighbourhood got together in Albert Campbell Square this month to demand more vegetables.
